Rock of Love – Kristy Joe is Kar-Azy

We do love crazy ladies vying for a rock star’s attention, don’t we? However, we wonder why a woman like Kristy Joe with her obvious good looks and marriage and child and all the stuff she’s got to deal with would put herself in this position. She says she’s falling for Bret, but still has baggage. Bret doesn’t like baggage but he does like her fun bags. He’s torn because she’s so beautiful yet tortured. The man hates dealing with drama in relationships which makes us wonder why he is looking for a relationship on reality TV. Aren’t they nothing but the drama?

Instead of analyzing Bret, we’ll give you the lowdown on the episode as quickly as we can. This week, Bret had the ladies customize a bike for him. The winning mechanic on the winning team got a solo date with the Poison front man. Peyton leads the pink team. They do well but forget to hook up their gas line. This gives Inna and the black team the opportunity to win. Inna takes off on a bike with Bret. The two enjoy a nice lunch and a bit of kissy-face.

Survivor Micronesia – Fans, Meet the Favorites

Survivor’s 16th season began on Thursday. Jeff Probst welcomed a group of fans to the Island. Realizing that they were making up only one tribe, the fans pondered who the heck was going to comprise their opposing tribe. The suspense was lifted rather quickly as a group of ‘favorites’ were introduced. Parvati, James, Amanda, Ozzy, Cirie, Yau-Man, Jonathan, Ami, Eliza and Johnny Fairplay showed up to the surprise and chagrin of their opponents.

The favorites had an easy time of things in the beginning. They got their shelter built and made fire. They also ate well and were very confident in themselves going forward. In fact, four of the faves found time to hook up. James and Parvati and Ozzy and Amanda are making a love connection in Micronesia. Look for things to get hotter as the season goes on.

WWE Divas Slam the Designers

Project Runway tackled a very interesting challenge this week – the remaining designers had to create a costume for the WWE Divas. Each designer was paired with a diva and had to put together an ensemble for the lady to wear in the ring. Christian created a leather and lace dream that included chaps.

Rami tried to make his diva look like a Barbie doll because that’s what she wanted. His concoction was way too pink. Sweet P had real troubles with her diva. Seems Sweet P couldn’t get behind the gal’s ‘stripper esthetic’. Jillian created a funky and sexy tomboy look that reminded me a lot of the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders’ costumes.

Trading Spaces Gets a Much-Needed Renovation

We used to love “Trading Spaces” when Paige Davis was the host. We loved Ty Pennington as a carpenter and the designers like Frank and Laurie and Doug and even Hildi. We really didn’t understand why Paige was dismissed from “Trading Spaces” several years ago – we don’t care now. It was a bad decision and one that turned us away from the show.

Apparently we weren’t the only ones. In 2007, it was announced that Paige would return as host of the show. The series was being retooled and would include closer relationships to increase the drama. Mothers and daughters would be remaking each others’ rooms, ex-spouses, etc.

We were totally on board.

Make Me A Supermodel – The Contestants Get Naked Again

This week on Bravo’s “Make Me a Supermodel” the contestants got naked again. We never realized that fashion had so little to do with clothing and only hope that Tyra Banks gets on the nude bandwagon when she returns with the tenth cycle of “America’s Next Top Model” in a few weeks.

The sexy Aryn was told that they couldn’t make her a supermodel. She was voted off. This left Jay and Holly to return to the throng. The first challenge showcased the models posing nude in an art class at the Parson’s School of Design. Some of the contestants had a bit of a breakdown including the very religious Holly. However, she did manage to pull it out and deliver some good poses. Casey trembled and Jay had a tough time. Prison guard Ben underwhelmed and Stephanie showed everyone what she was made of…literally and figuratively.

Celebrity Apprentice – The Rat Resigns

This week’s Celebrity Apprentice saw the men of Hydra resort to childish game-playing and ‘corporate espionage’.  Project manager, Piers Morgan, perhaps because he and Pastore had a difficult working relationship, concocted this idea to send the “very fat Italian”, as he referred to the former “Sopranos” mainstay, over to the girls’ team. Pastore was supposed to be a spy and report back to the men.

What happens next is difficult to follow because Pastore, who originally seemed on board with the plan, decides to turn double agent and proceeds to tell Marilu Henner of his decision. He hopes to gain her trust by telling her that she really can’t trust him.
