On Tuesday CBS finally announced the contestants who will be taking part in the eleventh edition of The Amazing Race. Yes, it is an All-Star season. Despite the fact that Big Brother All-Stars and Survivor All-Stars were ratings duds, the producers decided to go ahead with this one.
Oh well! I’ll still be watching. Actually, I can’t wait. So, without further ado, let’s find out who’s playing this time around, shall we?
Uchenna and Joyce Agu, who won TAR 7, are the only winners to make it as All Stars. Rob and Amber Mariano will also be making a re-appearance. Rob, who first made reality TV waves on Survivor: Marquesas, said, “This time, we're getting first place. No more second. I'm sick of second place.”
Who else is returning?
From Season One, we have Team Guido (Joe Baldassare and Steve Bartek) and Drew Feinberg and Kevin O’Connor. Charla Faddoul and Mirna Hindoyan, who made waves in season five - largely due to Charla's diminutive stature and Mirna's major mouth, will be returning as well. Eric Sanchez and Danielle Turner, who appeared on Season Nine with different partners, have paired up as All-Stars...and as a couple. On the flip side, John Vito Pietanza and Jill Aquilino (Season 3) were in love while competing the first time around but have since split up.
Here’s the rest of the crew:
Oswald Mendez & Danilo Jimenez (Season Two)
Teri Pollack & Ian Pollack (Season Three)
Dustin Seltzer & Kandice Pelliter (Season Ten)
David Conley Jr. & Mary Conley (Season Ten)
The Amazing Race All-Stars kicks off on CBS this February 18th. The producers promise that this will be the most extreme TAR season yet!
