Proving that its revolving-host policy has not died, Last Comic Standing has switched front men once again. Anthony Clark is out and Bill Bellamy is in. Bill Bellamy, who has starred on the big screen with Al Pacino (Any Given Sunday), Jessica Lange (Neverwas) and Larenz Tate (Love Jones) and in TV series such as My Cousin Skeeter, Fastlane and Men, Women and Dogs, brings some serious street cred and big-time funny to the series.
Last Comic will also be replacing its talent scouts. Gone are Ross Mark and Bob Read. Auditioners will have to face ANT, Alonzo Bodden and Kathleen Madigan, all of whom are LCS alumni.
ANT, who currently hosts Celebrity Fit Club on VH-1 released his first full-length comedy DVD, ANT: America’s Ready. Alonzo, of course, is the former jet mechanic who became a top headliner in comedy clubs all over the world and won season three of LCS, which was aptly sub-titled The Best of the Best. Kathleen has been voted Best Female Stand-Up comic by the American Comedy Awards and is a fixture on the late-night talk show circuit.
Auditions for the fifth installment of this series, which ranked as the #4 summer series overall among the 18-49 demographic and was viewed by 8.1 million overall, will begin on February 26 in Los Angeles. For a full listing of audition dates and times, click here.
