Troubled pop star Britney Spears has been released from the Promises Malibu Treatment Center after, according to her manager, Larry Rudolph, “successfully completing their program.” Spears checked into the center on February 21, 2007 after shaving her head bald and engaging in other ‘erratic’ behavior.
The songstress asked that the public respect her privacy while she works to rebuild her life with her two youngsters, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Spears is currently divorcing the youngsters’ father, aspiring rapper Kevin Federline. The couple had originally agreed to joint custody while the details of the divorce decree were being ironed out. Today, media outlets are reporting that the deal has been struck. Kevin will receive about $19 million total and will continue to share joint custody of the children.
Now that the divorce seems to be handled, Britney wants to hook up with ex-flame, Justin “JT” Timberlake. However, she’s not seeking a romantic reconciliation with the former ‘NSyncer. It seems that Brit wants him to duet with him musically. The Daily Star reports that since “Justin is so big in the US at the moment it would just be too much of a gamble for him to align himself with her in that manner.” Of course, he may work with her behind the scenes as a producer or in some such way.
As for a romantic reconciliation for the ex-Mousekeeters, Timberlake says that “We had our thing, and it's over...they edit that stuff like MTV edits reality shows. It’s a spin game, and I choose not to take part in it.”
