Bucky Covington and his wife Crystal have split up after seven years of marriage. Covington’s record label, Lyric Street Records, announced the couple’s separation and asked that everyone would ‘respect their privacy.

Bucky and his wife, a nurse, have no children together.

At least Covington’s career is on an upswing. The country crooner who hails from North Carolina was eliminated fifth on last season’s American Idol. He released his first single, "A Different World", in January. It’s currently making its way up the country music charts. His debut, self-titled CD is slated for release in April.
