UK’s Celebrity Big Brother is getting stranger and stranger by the second. This week, five housemates were up for eviction including Jo O’Meara, former S Club 7 singer, and Shilpa Shetty, the Bollywood actress who is at the center of the racism controversy. On Wednesday night, the show put up phone numbers to evict the other four contestants and due to a ‘technical error’ showed a number to save Shetty.

When individuals called the number, they learned that they had mistakenly voted to oust Shilpa from the Big Brother house. The station, of course, was flooded with complaints. As a result, Channel 4 cancelled votes on Thursday, refunded people and re-started the process. FYI – if the results ‘stood’, Shilpa would’ve been evicted.

On Friday night, Jo O’Meara and Cleo Rocos, a Brazilian-born comedic actress, were given their walking papers. Jo, who has come under fire for racist comments against Shilpa along with her cohorts in the house, Danielle Lloyd and Jade Goody, received almost 48% of the vote while 28% of the viewers told Cleo it was time for her to go.

This leaves Shetty, Ian Watkins, Danielle Lloyd, Dirk Benedict, Jack Tweedy and Jermaine Jackson in the house. Shilpa is obviously the odds-on favorite to win it all on Sunday night.
