Rachel Brown was one of the contestants on Hell’s Kitchen’s second season. The hard-working blonde Texan, who became close friends with the eventual winner, Heather, was 41 years old.

Rachel, a personal chef, was found dead in her family’s home on May 9, 2007 by her sister, Dr. Mary Brown. The cause of death is currently under investigation according to the Dallas Voice.

The youngest of five, Rachel, who celebrated her birthday on May 5, was a stellar athlete and student. She had hoped to open a cooking school for underprivileged youth. She is described as a “funny and sweet” person who was “a delight.”

She leaves behind several cats and a girlfriend. Her memorial service will be held on May 26, 2007.
