Marcel Vigneron, 26, is not making many friends this season on Bravo’s Top Chef 2. The dude with the Jimmy Neutron-inspired ‘do has alienated virtually all of his competition. A few weeks ago, another contestant, Cliff Crooks, was kicked off the show for using bodily force on Marcel. He pinned Marcel to the floor in the hopes that several of the other contestants would help him shave Marcel’s head.

Nice, huh?

Anyway, Marcel is also a ‘hit’ with the public. He tells the Las Vegas Weekly that a ‘fan’ of the show came up to him at a nightclub and asked him if he was on Top Chef. He replied yes. Then, the girl hit him with a bottle. His friends rushed him to the hospital where it took multiple stitches to sew up the injury. He’s been left with a one-inch scar over his left eye as a result of the attack.

The name of his assailant is still unknown.

Marcel faces-off against his chief rival, Ilan Hall, in the finale on Bravo TV at 10 pm EST on Wednesday January 31, 2007. The winner receives $100,000 in “seed money” to help him further his culinary career as well as a feature in Food & Wine magazine, an appearance at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and the title of Top Chef.
