Big Brother is returning to CBS this summer. In July, Julie Chen, aka “The Chenbot", and a bunch of new houseguests will grace our TV screens once again. Since premiering in July 2000, the show, which is based on the UK edition and follows houseguests around for 24 hours a day with cameras, has been a ratings success.
Last year’s All-Star Edition saw Mike “Boogie” Malin rise to the top, with a lot of help from his friend, Dr. Will Kirby. Boogie took down a $500,000 payday.
Per the network press release, Alison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol U.S.A., and Arnold Shapiro will return to help produce the series. Grodner will switch roles with Meehan and Shapiro will serve as an executive consultant.
CBS is currently looking for “outgoing, competitive” individuals to apply for the series. If you are willing to travel to meet with the producers should you make the cut, are able to handle the media scrutiny inside the house (and out) and are over 21 and a US resident or citizen, click this link to sign up.
