Mo'Nique
Charm School is yet another spin-off of the wildly successful Vh-1 ‘romantical’ reality show, Flavor of Love. The competition will feature 13 of the most outrageous ladies from the two seasons of Flavor of Love and is set to premiere on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 10 pm ET.
Comedian Mo’Nique, the Queen of Comedy who has her own reality TV plus-sized beauty pageant called F.A.T. Chance, will be the headmistress of this here Charm School. She’s going to teach the girls about etiquette and test their social skills. She and a panel of judges which includes Essence Magazine’s Mikki Taylor and Keith Lewis, the president of Morgan Modeling and Talent Agency, will send one ho home each week. The last lady standing will get $50,000.
The series is produced by the peeps behind Flavor of Love and I Love New York, namely Cris Abrego and Mark Cronin for Mindless Entertainment and 51 Pictures. Abrego said that “Initially we had all the outrageous behavior you would expect from this group, but actually, many of the women were surprisingly transformed by the whole process.”
So, who is going be transformed by Vh-1’s Charm School?
The lineup features Season One faves such as Pumkin, Hottie, Goldie, Rain, Serious and Smiley. Season Two is represented by Bootz, Buckeey, Buckwild, Krazy, Like Dat, Saaphyri and Toastee.
This is gonna be a good. For example, Pumkin spat at New York during an elimination ceremony in Season One. Buckeey almost killed Krazy in Season Two by pushing her against the rails on Flav’s balcony. Saaphyri pulled some girl’s hair and banged her against a wall. The girl had to leave the competition to be looked at by a doctor for a possible concussion. She then announced during the reunion show that she’d been to “anger management classes.”
If you can’t wait for Charm School to begin, Vh-1 will air the first episode six days before the premiere on the V-Spot.
