If you watched American Idol’s Season Six Finale, you probably heard that Simon Cowell is leaving the show. Don’t worry, folks! He’s not out the door, yet. The acid-tongued Brit has plans to remain with the series until his contract expires in 2010. For the mathematically challenged among us, that means he’ll be with us for another three years.
As Cowell told his lovely galpal, Extra correspondent Terri Seymour in an interview for the entertainment news show, “There comes a point where you've got to move on... You've got to say when you're time is up.” He feels that “10 years is a long time,” and the show will need new blood by that point if it’s still on the air.
When asked who he’d want to replace him, the quick-witted Cowell quipped, “Donald Trump.”
I never thought I’d say this…but, please, Simon, don’t go!
