Listen, we don’t condone the use of the “N” word by anyone, at any time. No one should use derogatory language against anyone. There are better ways to make a point. However, this isn’t really about what we think or how we try to live our lives. We make mistakes like everyone else.
Dog is human. However, we feel that Dog’s doing more damage than damage control with his publicity blitz apologizing for his racial slur.
Dog’s eldest son – he has a total of 12 children – has jumped to his daddy’s defense. In an interview with FOX News’ “The Big Story with John Gibson and Heather Nauert,” Chris Chapman said:
“I have only heard him say like the "n" word once or twice, and it's never been to where he's been a racist person at all. He's got a lot of friends that are black. He's got a lot of friends that are Mexican, plus he's half-Indian himself.”
As for himself, Dog thought he was “cool enough in the black world to use that word as a brother to a brother.” Dog swears he’s going to “fix it.” He says he needs “to get a greater vocabulary” and has “some classes to go to.”
He goes on to mention that “the whole idea was the "Enquirer Magazine" was trying to trap me using racial slurs or -- in the celebrity world, anything you can -- and you know this.”
Dog’s son, Tucker, the boyfriend of the young woman Dog used the term against, is no longer speaking to him. When asked why, Dog told Larry King that “his mother is in on it with him.” He goes on to say that “now she’s like getting even.”
