The Amazing Race All-Stars went to Hong Kong this week. Danny and Oswald raced to the head of the pack with some clever moves at the airport in Kuala Lumpur which had the Cha Cha Divas sitting pretty. They also made the Fast Forward by performing a sweet stunt on an action film set in the heart of the city.
Apparently, Hong Kong’s legacy as an action movie mecca was pretty prominent on Sunday’s show. In fact, a lot of stereotypes were present. First, they had the Racers go to a dry cleaner as soon as they landed at the airport. Then, the Racers who couldn’t take the FF, got to take a ferry to Hong Kong Island where they climbed a bamboo ladder while trying to avoid kung-fu fighters. Afterwards, the Racers get the privilege of kicking doors in Hong-Kong action style while looking for a clue.
Perhaps the producers need to get a clue? I mean do they not teach sensitivity training at the network? Maybe next week the Racers will get to cook rice and make tortillas in Mexico while trying to crawl under a big fence or something.
Geez!
Editor Note: In case you care, Eric and Danielle were in last place, but they didn’t get elminated. This was a non-elimination leg. They must come in first next week or receive a 30-minute penalty. Also, everyone's hating on Dustin & Kandice, the beauty queens 'cuz they yieled Eric & Danielle unnecessarily.
