The season finale of Scott Baio is…45 and Single aired on Sunday night. It was a satisfying end to a really good reality TV series. Throughout the series, we’ve seen Scott, along with the help of Doc Ali, tackle some serious issues. He came to the realization that he’s single because he keeps searching for the next big thing.

We’ve been waiting for him to realize that he’s found it in his lovely galpal, Renee. She loves Scott and is ready to settle down with him. When Doc Ali finally meets Renee, we see that Renee knows she loves Scott but is ready to walk away if he can’t commit to her. She doesn’t need him. She doesn’t care that he was Chachi or Charles in Charge. She doesn’t want his money. She wants him in her life. She wants to be with him and build a family with him.

As Jason Hervey, Scott’s best pal, tells him, “you’ve got to make a decision, man, or she’s going to make it for you.” This week, his final one, Doc Ali asks him what really scares him about marriage. Scott mentions the planning, the prenup, the ring, basically the finality of everything. She tells him to go and see a lawyer, shop for a ring and do some of those things he’s so worried about.

He does – and leaves us hanging in suspense about whether he’ll make an honest woman of Renee. At his ‘graduation party’, we see Doc Ali and some of Scott’s exes including Julie McCullough who tells Scott that Renee is the best thing that ever happened to him, and he’d be a fool to let her go.

Scott proves he’s no fool. He pulls Renee aside and tells her that he’s ready to get hitched. Renee then tells him that she’s pregnant.

Awww!
