I love New York. Since Tiffany Pollard first showed up on the first installment of Vh-1’s ghetto fabulous and utterly fantastic Flavor of Love, I’ve been hooked on this diva’s b*tchy and ‘dramatical’ ways. New York, as Flav named the buxom beauty, is reality TV gold. It’s no wonder that Flav didn’t choose her either time. The two, although they had a strong – and difficult to fathom – passion, were not right for each other.
Hell to the no!
However, New York needs a man – and is trying to forward her own career. C’mon now, be real. You know it’s true. She's a singer/actress looking for a record deal too.
That where the series, I Love New York comes in. Tiff is supposed to find her soul mate up in here. Has she found that in either Tango or Chance? These are her final two suitors, you know. How do they compare? (As you’ll see in my commentary, I’ve got a favorite!)
PHYSICAL STUFF:
Tango is definitely a handsome specimen of manhood. He reminds me a bit of LL Cool J with his physique and his dark, smoldering good looks. The man’s smile can melt ice in the middle of Alaska during January. Ooh-wee! This dude knows his way around the gym.
Chance is sinewy and strong, but he looks more like a little boy than a man. He’s reed-thin and tall. He’s not my cup of tea in the looks department. Too thug for me, but maybe not for Tiffany. She’s digging him more than I am.
EMOTIONAL STUFF:
Tango loves his mama. He’s respectful of New York. He’s also been respectful of her mama even when it has been difficult. Sister Patterson sure don’t make it easy on the guys. He and New York have this Romeo-Juliet romance thing going and well, I like it. He’s intelligent and grounded and will not let her run over him. Tango’s strong enough for New York…and secure enough to deal with her.
Chance loves his mama. He cries when she cries, which is very sweet. He’s also a daddy to a two-year-old boy and seems to be a good one. He’s not always been respectful of New York. At times, he seems almost violent with her. He sure as hell as been violent with the other contestants as Mr. Boston can attest to. Sister Patterson has tried to pay him off to get him to leave. I can’t say I blame her.
OTHER STUFF:
Tango really seems to be there for New York. He’s not pushing his CDs (He’s a Florida-based rapper who runs his own label,Bedroc Entertainment) or other endeavors. He’s showing her his heart and soul and I think he’s the ideal man for New York if she can actually open herself up to love that could be real. Of course, he could be a really good con artist or actor. In that case, the dude needs to move to H-wood as soon as possible.
Chance is a good guy in many ways. He’s got a big heart that’s full of emotion, but I think he’s definitely there to forward his career with the Stallionaires at least a little bit. I must admit that he does care for New York more than he wanted to, but…he’s a thug and he’s young and he’s not ready to settle down. The dude likes to party. If New York wants a long-term love relationship, she should not pick him.
In the end, the choice is up to the HBIC (Head B*tch in Charge). Hopefully, she’ll see the light and go with my man Tango. We’ll just have to wait ‘til later on tonight to find out, now won’t we?
Comment below and tell me who you think NY should choose. I’d love to hear from you:
