Work Out Trainers at the Reunion (Credit: Bravo TV)
Bravo aired a special reunion with Jackie and her Work Out trainers on Tuesday night. The show was definitely controversial and salacious. Many people were especially touched by the life and death of Doug Blasdell. Others were touched—albeit in a different way—by Jackie’s budding relationship with Rebecca, one of her trainers and a former contestant on The Amazing Race.
This season Jackie dealt with her dad’s suicide, launched two side ventures, a clothing line and a weight loss/fitness “lab”. She also broke off her dysfunctional relationship with Brazilian bombshell, Mimi, and proved that you can go back home again in a touching episode with her mom.
Basically, the series showed all we needed to see. It’s nice to know that Cheo is trying to prepare for his kidney transplant and is taking better care of himself. Cheo, who was Doug’s life partner for over 15 years…but they had split before his passing, was devastated by Doug’s death.
Peeler’s getting married to a former client. Jackie and Rebecca are kinda sorta still dating or not. Jackie decided to remain tight-lipped on that. Jesse was hurt by how fat people thought he was. He’s also started a healthy food delivery service and well, that’s great.
It’s all good for these guys, but what did we really learn from this reunion special? Was it really necessary? Can you really call it a reunion when these people still see each other on a regular basis? Wouldn’t it have been better for Bravo to just air an extra episode of Work Out with never-before-seen footage?
I think so!
