Now that Britney’s out of rehab, she and her K-fed have decided it’s high time to move on with their lives. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed but the spokesman for K-fed’s attorney Michael Sands says that, “The parties signed an agreement which was a global settlement on all issues of their marriage and child custody.”
The former duo signed the agreement after a five-hour long meeting between the couple and their lawyers in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Britney celebrated finalizing her divorce by going out with friends. They partied at The Bridge nightclub. Apparently, now that Brit is through with K-fed, she’s going to work on rebuilding her career. She hasn’t released a CD since 2003’s In The Zone.
Ne-Yo, the R&B singer/songwriter who’s helped folks like Rihanna score big hits, is ready to help her finish her new CD when she’s ready. He’s told sources that "The Britney stuff is on the back burner right now because Britney is fighting her battles and dealing with her demons. I really think if people leave Britney alone for a minute that she'll be alright."
However, a few of the tunes he penned for Brit may go to Pussycat Doll frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger. Nicole’s currently working on her solo CD. Ne-Yo is also helping Whitney Houston in her comeback effort and has just done a song with Jennifer Hudson. The Oscar winner’s debut disc is expected in stores later this year.
Regardless of his busy schedule, Ne-Yo’s rooting for the former pop tart to make a big comeback, and he hopes to be a part of it in some manner. He mentioned to MTV that, “Once she's [Britney] ready, I'm a phone call away. She knows that. Her people know that.”
Britney is also going to be working with Timbaland and her ex-beau, Justin Timberlake. They’re heading to the studio to record a duet. It’s a cover of the 1968 Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell classic, “You’re All I Need to Get By”.
