Best friends don’t last long in Hollywood. Paris Hilton, star of E!’s reality TV show, The Simple Life, and Britney Spears, who got Chaotic with ex-husband Kevin Federline on the now-defunct WB, will no longer be hitting the party circuit together.

Britney caught a lot of flak for hanging with the hard-partying diva. The gals were spotted drinking, dancing and wearing very little – including underwear – all around Tinseltown, Vegas and so forth. It cost Brit lots of fans and much respect. Many felt the mom of two was acting inappropriately.

Her spokesperson has confirmed that the two blondes are no longer having fun together, saying "Britney had fun with Paris. But she wants to focus on her family and career now."

Paris is upset and has uninvited Britney to the Vienna Opera Ball. Paris will be attending the soirée with Richard Lugnar, a 74 year old Austrian businessman, several of her friends and her parents.

Britney has also dumped her new beau, Isaac Cohen. She has told the media while picking up some new clothes in Santa Monica from Ed Hardy’s new line, Christian Audigier, that she and the model are “not together anymore, by the way.”
