Pics of the skinny star with a protruding belly have prompted rumors to begin circulating that The Simple Life diva might be preggers. Last month Nicole, the adopted daughter of crooner Lionel Richie, was spotted leaving a reproductive clinic. Life & Style magazine then reported that the aspiring musician had taken a urine test which “confirmed she is pregnant.”

Nicole’s reps have remained mum on the issue as have Nic and her beau, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.

A source says that “Nicole is kind of hoping that her pregnancy will keep her out of jail.”  Those close to her are reportedly concerned about whether she can carry the baby to term due to her weight issues.
