Jessica Hughbanks, the cute Kansan hamster in this summer’s Big Brother House, captured not only America’s heart but also America’s Player’s heart. She spoke with RealityRatPack and confirmed that she and Eric Stein are indeed dating. She is “anxiously awaiting his first trip to Kansas.”
The perky Hughbanks took a semester off from Wichita State, but will be returning to finish her degree in January 2008. She mentioned that her brother, Dean, who recently returned from his deployment in Iraq is “doing great” and “is stationed back at 29 Palms, CA.” Jessica hinted that she’d love to do the Amazing Race, mentioning that there “is a petition being circulated online asking CBS to allow Eric and me to participate on the Amazing Race as a team.”
Even more compelling, Jessica spoke with the Rob and Trevor at RFF Radio. She tells them what Eric told her. He “explained he wasn’t allowed to use the veto that week. The producers said that America wasn’t given enough time to decide who he should use it on if he was going to so that just flat out told him he is not allowed to use the veto at all - nominations had to stay the same.”
Apparently, Eric’s stint as America’s Player was even tougher than we thought. She contends that the producers “would threaten Eric if he failed a task they would say 'If you fail one more task, the next question's going to be should Eric be able to stay in the game'. And so um and then America would vote him out if they wanted him gone.”
These are very serious but not surprising allegations. Many of us felt that the show was rigged from the start so the Donatos would win. It seems that now, perhaps, we were onto something.
