Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant premiered on Sunday night on VH-1. The series picks up where Scott Baio is 45 and Single left off right at Scott’s ‘graduation party’ from Doc Ali’s life coaching sessions. Scott tells his ladylove Renee Sloan, now Baio, that he’s ready to get hitched. She tells him she’s preggers.

Scott, who took a long time to get ready for marriage, begins to freak out. He calls his buddies, including Johnny V. However, V is still miffed over their tiff and really has a hard time adjusting to Scott’s new life as a soon to be hubby and daddy.

In the premiere episode, Doc Ali hooks Scott up with Daddy-to-Be parenting classes, which he reluctantly attends. Scott takes Renee househunting. He wants a bigger place for his new family even though the 7,000 sq. ft plus home is a bit out of his price range. Renee, who we just love, tells him it’s way too big for her. She’s more down-to-earth than many ‘Hollywood’ wives. She’s also extremely patient with Scott. She loves him and understands his fears. They really are a great couple.

Scott’s friends, with the exception of Johnny V, recognize how great Renee is. They encourage him to wed her. He does pop the question in a cute way at the end of the episode with the help of a magician at one of the couple’s favorite restaurants.

So far, we’re still loving Baio and this VH-1 show. It’s tender, poignant and very real.

Editor Note: Recently, Baio revealed that Renee was pregnant with twins, but lost one about eleven weeks into the pregnancy. The couple do have a lovely baby girl named Bailey DeLuca Baio who is nine weeks old. Awww!
