Because American Idol was charitable last week, they didn’t cut any of the top six loose. This week, the series got rid of two so they can still have the finale on schedule. With less than a month to go, the competition is heating up.

Last night, two guys left us. Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson were given their walking papers in an hour-long results show that featured performances from Robin Thicke and Bon Jovi.

This leaves Blake Lewis as the lone male hope this season. Jordin Sparks, Melinda Doolittle and LaKisha Jones were also safe. DialIdol had it half right. They thought Chris Richardson and LaKisha Jones would be on the outs as did I.

Do you think America got right? Should Phil and Chris been the ones to go? Will we see either of them on the charts someday?
