Bye Bye Victoria (Credit: CW TV)
This is our favorite week on America’s Next Top Model. It’s time for the remaining girls to get their makeovers. The ladies head on over to Ken Paves’ salon. Ken Paves is a celebrity hair stylist who works with the likes of Jessica Simpson, his BFF, Eva Longoria, Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez, among others. The man knows hair, okay?
Tyra shows the ladies their transformations on a big screen. Most of the girls seem thrilled with their makeover plan, especially Heather, who also happened to be the CoverGirl of the week - again. She’s not really getting anything done, and well, we agree. She’s beautiful and near-flawless as is. The rest of the competition needs to wake up and pay attention.
Chantal and Ebony get extensions. Bianca was slated to go honey-blond a la Beyonce. However, her hair had been over-treated and over-colored. Mr. Jay announced that, to avoid risking further damage to her mane, they were going to shave her hair down to almost nothing. The poor girl was in tears, and well, we don’t blame her. We certainly saw a softer, more insecure side of Bianca and are glad for it. She’s really a special girl with a lot of passion for this industry.
And, Tyra made her look really good to boot. Bianca’s strong face can handle almost no hair, and the beautiful wig Ken made for her was bootylicious if we do say so. Hopefully, she’ll realize it soon.
Lisa, Janet and Sarah got shorter locks. Sarah thought short hair would make her look matronly. Instead, it made her sexy. Jenah went really blond and long. We think the color made her look washed-out but Tyra and the judges seemed to like it.
Saleisha went from girl-next-door to Rihanna-look-a-like with her new ‘do. It was tres cute, but you could tell she wasn’t feeling it. It’s part of the reason why the girl who said she’d never wind up in the bottom two landed exactly there last night.
In the end, Victoria was sent packing. Her ‘prickly disposition’ was the big reason. As Nigel said, “For a smart girl, she isn’t very wise.” Her back talk irked the judges and showed that the Yale student still has a lot to learn.
