This week, we see that we’ve got some serious divas in the house. Saleisha and Bianca almost came to blows. Both girls have a lot of confidence, bordering on cockiness and it’s affecting how the game is played. Bianca is certainly the meaner of the two, or at least from what we’ve been shown. For example, she gave Kimberly, the small-town girl from Ocala, FL., some bad walking tips. She mentioned in diary that she’s going to try and take these girls down one by one.
The girls are beginning to see that Heather is a force to be reckoned with. Her pictures are gorgeous. The camera adores her, and the panel does too. Bianca mentioned that Heather has the ‘pity card’ to play with her Asperger’s Syndrome. Me-ouch!
However, Heather seems to be connecting better with the girls. She was also the Cover Girl of the week so she’s connecting with the audience. Right now, she’s our pick to win. We just love her courage, her strength and her look. She’s really a camera dream. As for a catwalk queen, she needs to work on that.
Miss Jay greeted the girls at the Fashion Madhouse. He put them each in a strait jacket and had them walk it out for him. Saleisha was the obvious standout. She has done catwalk shows before so her experience obviously helps. However, it intimidates some like Bianca and Kimberly. Ebony, who came into the competition with some arrogance and attitude, is wilting. She just has no belief in herself right now and the panel is taking notice. She was near the bottom two and Tyra told her to appear confident even if she doesn’t feel it.
Later on, the girls perform in a runway show produced by Roy Campbell, who is also this week’s guest judge. They’re modeling Colleen Quinn’s designs. Quinn, who will debut her line in Paris next year, chose Saleisha as the competition winner. Saleisha will also get appear in that Paris show as her reward.
The photo shoot had the girls wear some high couture gear while rock climbing. Jenah, a previous rock climbing instructor, obviously had a leg up on the competition. However, she had fantastic pictures and impressed everyone including the photographer, Matthew Jordan Smith, a dude who helped shape Tyra’s early image. It was no real surprise that she was called first.
Bianca and Kimberly were the bottom two ladies. Bianca’s face is too ‘hard’ and she looked angry in her photos. She was given a serious scare. However, it was the less experienced Kimberly who was let go.
Next week is makeover week! We can’t wait!
