Bye Bye Peih-Gee (Credit: CBS)
Last week Erik was eliminated on Survivor: China. This left Peih-Gee alone on the island. With no allies, the one and only former Zhan Hu member really struggled. Despite that, Peih-Gee put up a valiant effort, fighting for her game survival to the very end. Peih-Gee certainly presented herself as a fighter and an ‘honorable player.’ We have a bit of trouble with the second part. Peih-Gee was instrumental earlier in the game in throwing an immunity challenge to kick off a member of Fei Long.
She has also been very difficult to get along with from the get-go, clashing with pretty much everyone from Dave to James to Todd and a few others in-between. We think she either has selective memory, which is a very common ailment amongst reality TV contestants, or she just doesn’t see anything she does as wrong.
Regardless, Peih-Gee made a last-ditch pitch to Amanda after Denise won the reward challenge and took Todd & Courtney with her. Peih-Gee was clearly pissed that Denise didn’t take her because she took Denise on a nice reward several weeks back. Is it honorable to do something and expect others to give you something back in return?
Denise, Courtney and Todd spent an evening on The Great Wall. Peih-Gee and Amanda ate some seafood risotto and became close. Both Todd and Amanda began to wonder if they should vote the other off to make it easier to win in the end. Peih-Gee put up a good fight in the immunity challenge, almost winning it all. Amanda pulled out the win with a strong performance throughout. She and Peih-Gee discussed voting Todd off. However, Denise mentioned to the camera that Todd’s pissed a lot of people off and might make a good goat for the final two.
Todd picked up on that point during Tribal Council. Peih-Gee did herself no favors by attacking Courtney for being a tag-along. In the end, the four former Fei Long members stuck together, voting Peih-Gee out unanimously.
Sunday is the two-hour finale, followed by a one-hour reunion special. We think that Amanda has the best shot of winning this season, but Todd could take it all. He did play a devious, dastardly game, but everyone knows he played to win.
