Sureshot  (Credit: VH-1)

Chris Kirkpatrick, Bryan Abrams, Jeff Timmons and Rich Cronin don’t want to be a joke. These guys want to be taken seriously as musicians. As former boy banders, each knows that it’s difficult to make the transition from eye candy to serious artiste. With the ‘mission’ VH-1 has given them, they want to take it to the next level.

Manager Katie McNeil thinks that means putting the guys out there after less than two days’ worth of work learning a new song and never having performed together live before. She’s supposed to be a big shot music exec, but that’s not really a smart move, is it?

The guys don’t think they’re ready to sing at an Orlando Magic basketball game. They’re afraid they’ll be booed. Frankly, so too are we. As it is, Jeff is dealing with vocal problems – he’s hoarse – and confidence issues. Bryan is drinking again. He even shows up to a band meeting with a few in him, causing Chris to give it to him straight – it’s the booze or the music, dude. We’re glad to hear that since the series Bryan has gone to rehab in Nashville and gotten some help he desperately needed.

We want to give kudos to Bryan for dealing directly with his demons and not denying them.

We’re terribly upset that Miss Kate, as the guys call her, pushed them into this performance. It was not good at all. In fact, it was boo-able. The crowd booed the men, which is what they were afraid of. Instead of a confidence boost, the gig was an out and out failure. It’s going to make Sureshot’s road even harder, which is totally unfair.

Next week, it looks like the guys want to fire Miss Kate. We’re all for that! What about you?

Ditto squared!! First of all, I commend all of the Sureshot-ers for wanting a "second chance" at achieving their dreams. However, I think their approach is allllllll wrong. The show should be a real "reality" show (is that an oxymoron???)--following longterm struggles, and group development. They all tasted hard work and reaped the benefits, so they don't need an inexperienced manager to tell them what to do. THEY ALREADY KNOW!! Don't try to reinvent the wheel guys! Take your time, and don't put limits on yourselves. Who gives a hoot about what others think, and what the network things. Chris---what happened to Mr. "Bye bye bye?" I thought you cut the strings from your puppet master. You know the cheesy (but true) analogy of the fist. Like the fingers of a hand, each worker, or each finger, is weak, but together they make a strong fist. Sureshot has all the components and experience needed to achieve anything they want beyond their wildest dreams. Shucks, Rich Cronin is a cancer survivor! So Sureshot needs to A) Trust in God, and put him first---(and stay SOBER--and don't do anything crazy!!) B) Work hard. C)Produce quality songs. D) Grow as a group. E)THEN put out a record. Once again, THESE fellas ALL already know this, and I hope they take a deep hard look at themselves, and realize the talent they have inside already. If they don't believe in themselves, no one else would. So, work on yourselves guys. I believe you can do it. You should too!!!

I love this group! I can't wait for the album to be signed and released! It is terribly sad they were booed, they didn't deserve that, they are terrific singers and performers. I thought the manager was taking miserable risks, pushing too fast, so the flak and feedback to her were necessary, not rude.
