We’re getting down to the nitty-gritty on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8. At the beginning of last night’s episode, Natasha, Renee, Jaslene, Dionne and Brittany remained. This week, the gals had to go on go-sees with various designers in the Sydney area. These girls had it pretty easy. At least, they speak English in Australia.
Unfortunately, Brittany and Natasha didn’t make it back to Priscilla’s model management on time. Nata handled herself well and quietly waited ‘til Priscilla was done announcing the winner. Brittany, the drama queen, got there late and cursed a blue streak about how her cab driver made her light. It’s so nice to play the victim, isn’t it?
Jaslene received the best feedback from the designers and took Dionne with her to have a special photo shoot at the “top of the world”, a special bridge in Sydney Harbor. The photographer was none other than our sexy judge, Nigel Barker.
For the elimination shoot, each of the models had to do two photos, one for a women’s mag and the other for a men’s mag. For the women’s mag shoot, the photog was Tyra. This gave her a chance to really see the gals in action. Michael Omm did the men’s mag shoot.
Some of the girls rose to the occasion like Natasha, Jaslene and Renee while Dionne and Brittany fell flat. In fact, Brittany just seemed to be so needy and whiny that it was obvious who was going home.
During judging, we learned that not one of the clients would have hired Brittany. This was very upsetting to not only Brittany but also Tyra. Despite the fact that Dionne asked most of the designers if she could keep their clothes—a few said yes—she still made a better impression on them as a professional. This was what saved her ass this week. Brittany was sent home and admitted to the camera that she has some emotional work to do.
