Grease: You’re the One That I Want is finally over. The reality TV juggernaut, which started out so promisingly – and then, hit the skids in both ratings and interest level it seems – had its finale on Sunday night. Producer David Ian, director/choreographer Kathleen Marshall and Jim Jacobs, the dude who co-penned the original, have the Danny and Sandy they wanted after all.
Max Crumm, aka “Broadway Danny”, who looks a bit like Nic Cage and had some serious acting/singing chops, beat out “Hot Danny”, former Days of Our Lives actor Austin Miller, for the role of Danny Zucco. Max, 21, hails from Arizona originally Joining him is Laura Osne. This 20-year-old brunette from Minnesota was called “Small Town Sandy” throughout the competition. Laura has played Sandy before in her home state. She beat out Ashley Spencer, a former ballerina, for the gig.
