Men in black...makeup, that is (Credit: Bravo TV)
This week on Bravo’s “Make Me a Supermodel” the contestants got naked again. We never realized that fashion had so little to do with clothing and only hope that Tyra Banks gets on the nude bandwagon when she returns with the tenth cycle of “America’s Next Top Model” in a few weeks.
The sexy Aryn was told that they couldn’t make her a supermodel. She was voted off. This left Jay and Holly to return to the throng. The first challenge showcased the models posing nude in an art class at the Parson’s School of Design. Some of the contestants had a bit of a breakdown including the very religious Holly. However, she did manage to pull it out and deliver some good poses. Casey trembled and Jay had a tough time. Prison guard Ben underwhelmed and Stephanie showed everyone what she was made of…literally and figuratively.
Perry, who’s impressed everyone throughout the competition, also did well. He totally rocked his ten minutes with a baseball bat.
Later on, the contestants had their photo shoot. The object was to create a portrait in front of the camera. One guy was chosen by the gals to work with them. That dude was Perry. The boys chose Shannon, the obvious superstar amongst the ladies. Shannon and Perry would have two photo shoots. The catch was that the photog could eliminate any amount of models from a picture if he decided they weren’t holding their own.
No one was removed from the ladies’ shoot. However, Casey and Ben were ditched from the guys’ picture. Casey was totally crushed and had a hard time recovering from blow to his ego.
The next challenge saw the models get naked again – well, except for some g-strings or something. Then they were painted black with sequins and had to move together to become a living sculpture. Stephanie was the centerpiece and did a fantastic job at it. This was really her week to shine. Ben was not moving well and Jay did not impress the judges.
The catwalk gave the models some over-the-top couture. Some of the contestants rocked it and others flopped. Casey continued his poor week with a poor catwalk performance. Jay and Katie also left the judges cold. Those three were put in the bottom three. They’re up for the vote. Poor Casey – we hope America saves him. He’s too beautiful to go now.
As for this week’s winner, Holly came close. She went from worst to near first with a stunning picture and killer catwalk pose. However, Stephanie, the art student, finally came alive for the judges and won the nod.
Next week we wonder how the producers will get the models naked again, but we can’t wait to find out. Can you?
Bravo’s “Make Me a Supermodel” is our favorite guilty pleasure these days.
