It’s the second week of VH-1’s Mission Man Band and the men have some trouble brewing already. Jeff doesn’t feel like being there. He’s also dealing with a sore voice which makes him not want to sing. Bryan’s got some serious personal demons. The man is a serious alcoholic – he’s one drink away from a bender. Katie McNeil, their official manager/b*tch, hired him a personal trainer so he can take off twenty pounds in the next few weeks.
Do we smell a potential appearance on the next Celebrity Fit Club for the 300 lb. Bry-guy? Why yes, yes we do!
Rich is working hard to stay healthy. Chris is just working hard to avoid working hard. He decides to throw the guys a party so they can feel more at home in his crib. The party has loads of girls and booze. Bryan tries to fight off the temptation for a little while. Eventually, he gets drunk.
The next morning, he makes a ton of excuses as to why he can’t work out and why he can’t work with the guys and so forth and so on. Chris calls him out on his behavior and his addiction, but Bryan doesn’t really want to hear it.
Meanwhile, the guys tried to write a song to impress Bryan Michael Cox, an R&B producer behind Mariah Carey’s “Shake it Off” and Mary J. Blige’s “Be Without You” among others. He gives them a B minus for their efforts and tells the camera that he was being kind.
Katie tells the men that they have their first gig. They’ll be singing at an Orlando Magic game. The guys are frightened to say the least. They don’t feel prepared. Heck, they don’t even have a song. They’re also worried that the crowd will be less than kind. Makes you almost feel sorry for ‘em, doesn’t it? Not almost. We definitely feel sorry for them.
