Good-bye Victorya (Credit: Bravo TV)
This week the designers got to pick a bunch of Levi’s jeans and create a new “iconic” look for the jean. They only got ten hours to do it. Christian got to work on recreating jeans using the sleeves from a denim jacket. He saw a modern motorcycle mama in his mind and pulled it off. However, we are just so over his attitude. He’s a trash-talker and a bit mean-spirited. He needs to grow up a bit. We hope he does it soon. He’s a good designer but a bit of a pain the butt on the personal front.
Victorya decided to make a coat as did Jillian. Jillian couldn’t understand why Victorya would do that considering last week their winning look was a coat and Victorya didn’t help then. We didn’t understand her reasoning truthfully but knew that Jillian felt a bit miffed at Victorya for doing a coat too.
Whatev!
Rami created a very tailored and sophisticated look as usual, but it had an edge too. His model was lovely. Chris’ dress didn’t look modern and it was not well constructed. The judges thought his choice to keep frayed sides on the dress was a poor one…as did Tim when he gave Chris feedback. Why a designer chooses not to listen to Tim – we don’t understand.
Sweet P, to her credit, revised her design after Tim told her the denim wedding dress was “too hippy dippy.” She streamlined the dress, making it short and taking it in an entirely different direction. The judges adored it and Sweet P skated through another week.
The big story had to be Ricky Lizalde. The always-tearful dude had an emotional week. However, he finally decided to show the judges who he really is. He went to his lingerie roots and created a sexy denim frock that was a true knockout. Even without the immunity granted by winning a challenge, Ricky took the judges’ kudos and cried tears of joy…finally.
In the end, Victorya and Jillian were in danger of being auf'd. The coats just didn't work. Jillian's was overly ambitious, but had some good ideas. Victorya's was just a mess so she was ditched.
We wonder who will go next week? Our money's on Chris!
