Alex, as part of the Four Horsemen alliance, tried to dominate the game. Unfortunately, he and his buddies got blindsided by Earl, Yau-Man, Boo, Cassandra and Stacey. Since then, Alex has been trying desperately to remain on the island. Last week, he even voted off Mookie, his closest ally still left in the game.
Alex will do anything to save himself. We’re pretty sure they do teach that skill at Harvard Law School, where he received his post-graduate training. This week, his plan was to stir up trouble among the rest of the tribe. His goal was to get Yau-Man voted off to flush out the idol and change up the order within the alliance. It seemed as though Dreamz was on his side…and Cassandra strongly considered it.
Even Stacey appeared to be listening intently. However, in the end, Alex couldn’t save himself. He headed to the jury with Mookie, Edgardo, Michelle, Lisi and Rocky.
Truthfully, I believe that Alex did some damage before he went. He did plant the seeds of discontent and doubt in the remaining players. Earl would like to see Yau-Man, Cassandra and Dreamz in the final four. Cassandra and Dreamz don’t want it that way. They really don’t trust Yau-Man especially since they learned that he has the Idol. Stacey seems to be on board with getting rid of Yau-Man soon. The final four could be very different from the way Earl and Yau-Man envisioned it. I don’t think they control the game the way they think they do.
Interestingly enough, Yau-Man can only use the Idol for two more tribal councils. This presents a dilemma for the remaining castaways. They could opt to send Yau-Man home sooner rather than later, or will Boo go next. I’m not sure. Eventually, as Jeff pointed out, these folks are going to have to backstab each other. It will get ugly, and isn’t that what we’ve been waiting for?
